Carpenter Helper

Duties will include but not limited to assisting higher graded or journeyman level employees in performing simpler and more routine duties of the carpentry trade. Prepares or gathers all necessary tools and/or equipment for the project or assignment, along with supplies, lifts and carries tools, equipment and parts for project or task. Have knowledge of various types of tools associated with the carpentry trade. May be required to work weekends. Physical Demands:
The incumbent is required to work while standing, stooping, bending, crouching and climbing in tiring, awkward, and uncomfortable positions. When working from a ladder or scaffolds, work involves reaching overhead, stretching or other awkward positions. The incumbent must lift and carry up to 40 pounds unassisted, and occasionally life or move heavier items with assistance of lifting devices or other workers. Working Conditions:
Work is done indoors and outdoors, Some work is performed in the shop area where incumbent is exposed to moderate or high noice levels from operating machinery, saw dust in the air, glue fumes, and hazards associated with woodworking and related power equipment. Occasionally the work may be performed outside under adverse weather conditions. Incumbent is exposed to the hazards of ladders and scaffolds and is subject to cuts, bruises, and contusions. To reduce the dangers, the incumbent is required to follow prescribed safety practices and uses protective devices/safety equipment such as earplugs, safety glasses, respirators, face masks, apron, glovers, etc. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
